When you’re talking to someone about your home business opportunity for the first time, these tips will help you get better results:
1) On your first call, the goal is to connect with your prospect, so be sure to introduce yourself, ask questions about why they are interested in a business, and build a personal relationship.
2) Set an appointment for an overview of your business, such as a live conference call, or direct your prospect to a recorded call, webinar, or website tour. Don’t spend a lot of time trying to provide every single detail to every lead you talk to, often your business has already set up one of these options for you.
3) Schedule a follow up call and find out what they liked about the business. Answer any remaining questions they may have. Don’t forget to remind them of their motivations they may have
reasons for wanting to get involved in a home business (you may have learned this during your initial interview).
If you have someone who is unsure, be sure to stay in touch with them, as it often takes multiple exposures to your business before someone signs up. Consider getting your experienced upline on a 3-way call to answer questions and give a different presentation of the business.

I would add to that to create curiosity along with breifly getting to know the prospect and getting them to a third party tool asap ,so you can keep looking for you next leader and of course follow up.
